Responsive recruiter
RED VELVET is looking to expand our Rolodex of trusted brand ambassadors to serve as additional on-site support for our client’s experiences, big and small. While we fill the majority of all logistical, pre-planning, and creative needs with internal full-time employees, oftentimes we still have a need to bring in contractors for onsite execution. Our needs are sporadic and depend fully on our confirmed programs, so there may only be a handful of working opportunities in a given year. At this time, we are mainly looking for candidates who reside in the greater Austin, TX area and have weekday availability, as well as weekends. However, as our business continues to expand across the country, we are definitely open to bringing on experienced individuals who live in other states with similar availability.
As a RED VELVET contractor, you are seen as an extension of our internal team and will be representing us and our clients while on site. Attributes that we look for and believe contribute to one’s success in this role and while on-site include:
- Personable and Professional
- Detail-oriented and Organized
- Responsive and Communicative
- Reliable and Responsible
- Problem solver and quick to act
- Demonstrates initiative and teamwork
- Exemplifies the brand through engagement, attitude and appearance
- Physically able to be on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 30 pounds
While the actual scope of work varies program by program, see below for what our contractors can expect to be doing while on site:
EVENT ONSITE ASSISTANCE
- Assist Lead Producer with general onsite production including, but not limited to ensuring vendors are performing contracted services, maintaining the Run of Show timeline so the event stays on track, managing an activation station, handing out swag or other promotional items, working event registration or check-in, entertainment runner, identifying issues and needs as they pop up and promptly addressing, general floater to answer guest questions or concerns, encourage engagement, crowd direction, etc.
EVENT SET UP & TEAR DOWN
- Assist Lead Producer with general event set up and/or tear down including, but not limited to loading dock oversight, registration setup, centerpiece and linen placements, entertainment stations, promotional item inventory, light assembly needs, chair and table placements, etc.
- Installation of banners or other event signage
- This position requires help with physical tasks-carrying boxes, moving tables, etc.
- Assist with other set up/tear down duties as needed
Please take a moment to submit your application and let us know why RED VELVET needs to bring you on board for our clients' next experience! No phone calls, please. We will respond to candidates who have qualified for the first round of interviews.
