Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships while ensuring the successful execution of events and projects (on time, on budget, on strategy). This role involves strategic planning, project management, and client consultation to drive client satisfaction, project outcomes, and account growth. This position is based in Austin, Texas, reporting to the Head of Business Development. Remote work may be considered, with a preference for candidates willing to relocate. The role is for up to 30 hours per week and may transition to a full-time position following the completion of the initial probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships by understanding client goals and both managing and delivering on expectations.
  • Lead the development and alignment of project creative briefs and strategies, ensuring clarity across client and internal teams.
  • Provide strategic consultation throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining alignment with client objectives and brand vision.
  • Monitor overall project execution and maintain consistent communication with clients regarding progress, feedback, and solutions.
Project Management
  • Develop and manage preliminary project timelines, budgets, and resourcing plan, ensuring on-time delivery while meeting quality and strategic objectives.
  • Provide oversight of internal teams across creative, production, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accountability for scope changes, aligning deliverables to the project brief and budget adjustments.
Proposal Development and Business Growth
  • Lead (and project manage) proposal development, including approach alignment, pricing strategies, and budget management, ensuring a successful pitch.
  • (Know how to) Spot opportunities that will enhance our value (leading to incremental business) and act on them.
Budget and Risk Management
  • Oversee project budgets, partnering with producers to maintain profitability and adapt as project scopes evolve.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the escalation point for project challenges, facilitating resolution and ensuring client and team satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Define, with input from Client, KPIs and ensure tracking exists for each project.
  • Analyze and present post-event performance reports, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing to capture and promote program highlights for agency use.
Team Collaboration
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and health of team with internal colleagues on project goals and deliverables
  • Share knowledge of client industry trends, competitive landscapes, and organizational structures to inform team strategies.
  • Promote a positive working environment and uphold the agency’s values.
Professional Representation
  • Represent RED VELVET at client meetings, events, and industry engagements with professionalism and alignment to RED VELVET's brand identity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings and agency reputation.

Qualifications for the Role:
  • 5+ years of account management experience in events, experiential marketing, or related industries.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Experience in project budgeting, risk management, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology to support project delivery and team collaboration.
